Terago is a fast-growing transport provider specialising in home to school transport for SEND children and social care transport for older adults. We work with a number of Councils and Public Sector bodies throughout South London and Surrey.
We are looking for an ultra-reliable passenger assistant to travel with our service users from home to school routes in and around Surbiton area.
Our routes take approximately 1 – 2 hours and operate in the morning and afternoon during school term times. The hours are typically between 7:30–9:30 am and 2:30–4:30 pm although this depends on the route.
Experience is not essential, as we provide full and comprehensive training. You will however need to be calm and caring and able to communicate effectively with parents and others.
We’re only looking for the most reliable and caring people to join our team so we pay some of the highest rates in the business: You’ll get an hourly rate of £11.50 per hour plus holiday pay and a monthly attendance bonus as appreciation for your 100% reliability.
This is a rewarding role working as part of a team to provide transport for children and adults with special needs.
A fully enhanced DBS (including Adult Checks) is required for this role (we can obtain this for you)
In addition, there is mandatory First Aid and Safeguarding training (we can provide this for you)
Pay Rates:
Payment is made for each completed trip, with most routes being 10 trips per week.
The daily rate is fixed dependant on the typical time required however as a guide:
Local Routes (1 hour or less)
£11.50 Base Pay
£0.89 Attendance Bonus
£1.39 Holiday Pay
Total: £13.78
Longer Routes (1-2 hours)
£23.00 Base Pay
£0.89 Attendance Bonus
£2.88 Holiday Pay
Total: £26.77
