Terago is a platform based private hire operator built from the ground up for the professional freelance private hire driver. Join us and you will get access to quality regular contract and ad-hoc work at fair prices from a range of partners and clients including a growing number of Public Sector bodies. Our bookings typically provide hourly returns of £28-£48 per hour and are an excellent way to complement your app based work.

What driving experience do I need?
To join us you need to have at least 12 months private hire driving experience with a reputable company or alternatively have completed more than 1000 jobs on the Uber platform (Bolt, Kapten & Ola also accepted) with a driver rating of 4.9 or above. You’ll need to provide excellent customer service and have a track record of high levels of customer satisfaction.
What vehicle do I need?
You will need to provide your own vehicle no older than 2013. Your vehicle must be immaculately presented, free of damage, smoke and odour free and not carry any branding or advertising.
Is there a dress code?
Yes, we expect all drivers to look smart and professional at all times.
What are the fees and commission charges for working on the platform?
We charge a flat rate of 20% commission, including UK VAT where applicable.
What is a Vendor?
We work with a number of partners, customers and booking platforms who provide us with trip requests. We call these Vendors.
Are Regular Contracts available?
Yes we work with a growing number of councils and have new route offers arriving almost daily!
Can I choose which vendors to work with?
If you want to opt out of receiving work from a particular customer or vendor this is no problem – your Fleet Team can configure your account settings and you will only be offered the work that you want.
Do you offer any guaranteed earnings?
The Terago platform is for freelance self-employed private hire drivers only. It is not designed to provide full time or part time work or employment. There are no minimum job quotas on our standard schemes and your earnings on the Terago platform are genuinely uncapped: We do not employ controllers or despatch algorithms to limit your allocation of bookings.
Is the commission shown an introductory offer?
No the commission rate is fixed and we don’t make any additional charges such as service charges, app rental or booking fees charged to drivers.
How do I get the driver app?
The Driver App is available for both Android & ios. We will help you download and set this up for you at your onboarding session.
When can I work?
You can work anytime you choose. Our only requirement in this regard is that you don’t drive if you are feeling tired or unwell.
Do I have to accept a job? / Can I cancel a job that has been allocated to me?
This depends on the individual vendor’s SLR (service level requirements). In most cases, vendors will expect you to complete a job that has been allocated to you. You can however always decline or cancel a job if there is a very good operational reason. If you accept a school run contract we would need up to 10 days to find a replacement driver, although we will aim to do so at the earliest possible time.
What are the rates?
In some cases jobs are priced on a mileage basis whilst school runs and most airport journeys are priced in advance. Rates vary from time to time and are available in your driver dashboard. If you are offered a school run or other contract run you will be advised of the price in advance. We have some of the best rates in the industry with an average job value of £30+
Where are you based?
We are based at the historic Airport House Purley Way Croydon. However, we work all across London.
Do I get paid for referring my friends?
Yes we are currently running a personal referral scheme. Onboard with us and introduce a driver and both you and your colleague will receive £100 bonus as soon as they have completed £1000 in rides!
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No there is no deposit required as you will be providing your own equipment.
When am I paid for the account and card jobs that I complete?
We pay accounts on a weekly cycle, straight into your bank account. Statements are issued to you each Monday with payments made the following Monday.
How do I join?
Visit the drive page and start your application. You’ll need to attend a short onboarding session and you can select a time and date to suit you at the end of the application process. We are currently conducting these sessions remotely via Skype or WhatsApp.
